We have looked at phones full of photos and felt the unbearable inadequacy of a screen. We built the products we needed and couldn't find anywhere else — and we made them worthy of the people they're meant to honor.

The Name

Animus. Latin for spirit, soul, the animating force of a person. The part of someone that doesn't disappear when they do. That's what we're preserving. That's what we're holding onto.
